Well, $500.00 does seem like a bit for those... Most of the time I see the kits with standard sized rack toms going for around $400.00. The power toms slightly less, say fifty bucks or so. Maybe a hundred.

Offer the guy $400.00 and see what they do. In my opinion, if you like the kit, get it. You have to admit that five hundred bucks is kind of cheap for as much enjoyment you'll get back.

Most of the wraps were indeed bland on the Rocker series. I don't remember Rocker's being offered in sparkle wraps, but then I can be wrong. I just glanced at the catalog (1986) and didn't see sparkle wraps offered. If that's a re-wrap, start at less maybe.

I looked at the 1988 catalog and they did offer a red sparkle wrap.

There you go, snag it if you like it. Those really are great drums, especially the clear interior ones.
