Yes I know, I really should have confidence in my own estimations! I noticed the B/O badge on this, so it's defo vintage, but a rough idea of value for the four drums from a Ludwig guru would be very much appreciated.

I'm not one to value this set but I do notice two different style lugs on the rack toms. Is that normal? Seems to me to be an indication of a re-wrap also.

The lugs are correct on that kit. The correct lugs for the smaller 8 x 12 tom are the small classic lugs. Ludwig still does this.
It would be a good idea to ask if the shells have reinforcing rings or not. If they do, they're worth significantly more. A few years back, a Hollywood set (12/13/16/22) would have been worth around $1300, but nowadays they're selling for about a 1/2 to 2/3 of that, depending on the pristine-ness of their condition.
I just missed out on getting a 67 "Ringo" Hollywood kit for $600. The guy said that he'd been trying to sell if for about 2 months. As luck would have it, the moment I finally find out about it and call him, he had just gotten off the phone with another interested party who snagged it.

Cheers for the info! I'm since told by the seller that it's a 68, and has 'gey peck' on the inside. Dunno if there's a typo in there, or my ignorance, but I've no clue what that means!!!

Well, they definately are NOT from 1968, they would have a keystone badge and have either a natural maple or white painted interior if that was the case. Being that they have Blue/Olive badges with the grey Granitone painted interiors....I'd place them somewhere between 1972-1976. Serial numbers would help pin them down even closer than that. Still a good set though.....
Yeah, seller wasn't exactly overflowing with info on the listing. Will try and get the serials! EDIT: May not hear back about these before listing ends. So assuming the above is acurate and they are early to mid 70's what would be a decent price? I'm guessing he's set a reserve of at least £400.

Well, it didn't make reserve and stopped at £361.00. The guy had a gretch 3 piece which went for over £700, but this and his Slingy didn't make reserve. Some hesitant bidders out there. I think reserves backfire a lot of the time!
