Thanks for the info on the polish! I have used that stuff before on organ keys, but didn't know if it had any ill effects on old drum wrap. I'm not too worried about the scratches. They do look dull, but I think that may just be years of dust. Yes the Supraphonic is a 5. My bad. I am getting ready to pull the heads and hardware so I can polish it. The date stamp as far as I can see through the vent is stamped may. The year is smudged a little.
Thanks for the offer Drumfx. A friend of mine actually has one that he didn't use. I would need to come across a hoop, t rods, and claws first. I did dismantle the Supra yesterday and cleaned it. It turned out pretty good. Some pitting, but not too bad for its age. I took a few photos. Looks like the snare that came with the set though as far as the date stamp goes. What do y'all think? Also, all of the 60's drums have an E marked in them with grease pencil near the date stamp.

Oh man, I've been looking for a "birthdate" drum for years, and you just happen to have it. It's not the correct year, but May 22nd is my birthday.
;)
Lovely set of drums.
I'm curious about which badge is on each of the wooden drums. You are right on the cusp of the Keystone (your Supra) to Blue/Olive transition. I can only see one Blue/Olive badge in your photos given the orientation of the drums. Are they all Blue/Olive? Some Keystone? Some missing badges?

The Super Classic drums 22,13,16, and snare are keystone badge. The 12,14, and 15 concert toms are B/O and have L arm type mounts. No date stamps in the concert toms.
Cool beans on the date stamp. It's neat because are sets are sort of like cousins being so close in dates and having the exact same sizes. My set is dated March 26 1969 and the supra is dated March 20 1969. I think bum wrap even makes a faded mod orange wrap and you could probably match the inlays to the set pretty close. Those deserve a full resto being put back to original.
If you look at the bass drum head on my set, it has the 70's style Ludwig logo. This came out sometime in late 1968 as far as I can tell and Ludwig was sending out heads with a mix of the older script logo and the newer style head like mine. You could probably repro one of those too if you wanted as I love the way the smaller logo looks on my mod orange set. It's a pretty cool transistional thing into the 70's.

That is awesome that ours are so close! Cousindrums! I'm considering selling the concert toms. Since they didn't come with the original set.
