"Giant screw". Interesting point to attach to this kit. Just another goofy overseas glut kit that sounds pretty good for the dough. Very good to put it in the same breath as Gretsch Catalina Jazz kits. Just a decent kit to fill the affordable void. I'm just bummed that the last remaining bastions of American drum building would stoop to the Asia highway. Kinda gross. The kits are built like the other glut kits. I've owned a couple of the other types. They are good gigging kits.

I have to wonder if without this line would Ludwig be able to stay in business. How many people today can afford a Legacy or Classic Maple kit?

I have the mod orange downbeat and I love it! I am not super crazy about the snare but the rest of the kits is awsome! I love the new rail. It's just one wing nut that comes off and then the top part of the rail goes into the case with the rest of my hardware. No biggie. The finish is great too. The only thing I did was to replace the claws on the bass drum with more Ludwig looking ones. The ones with the set are pretty cheap.

I gig with this set all the time and I really do love it. I just wish i could get a 16 floor tom for mine!!
