I'm in the final stages of restoring a mid 60s blue sparkle bass drum, and am curious about the hoops. They are painted blue instead of the normal black. The paint appears to be original, and I was hoping someone could confirm that this is the case. I believe that I've seen this before, but I'm not certain. One more thing - this drum has nickle hardware. Does this increase the value of the drum? Seems to me that most of the drums I come across from this era have chrome plated hardware. Thanks for your input!
