WOW! That's interesting. It's not really a "Jazzette", but at least they got the dimension right! I would like to see the 3-ply shell layup. Do you know if they are poplar-core 3-ply? Solid maple rings?

The correct Jazzette should have:

-The rail mounted at the top and not offset.

-No bass drum mounted cymbal mount (in most examples).

-Straight retracting legs instead of the gullwings.

unfortunately i don't really know about the exact construction... :(

i just came across this website while i was just looking for some information on jazzette kits. i contacted the company and they wrote the following:

"The replica 18 was a new 3 ply + rings shell"

hope this helps as well...
