I have been looking at listings from all of the above mentioned accounts over the years and have always been suspicious of them.-----but unfortunately , that is the nature of ebay. The problem is, ebay is the problem, not sleazy sellers. Ebay is making ,millions and millions of dollars by supporting and allowing sellers, such as this to continue using their system.

I have had a lot of discussions with ebay about their lack of attention to the errant behaviour on the part of sellers and there are always excuses or comments like " I will bring this issue up at the next policy meeting" or " I'm sorry you feel that way" or " That's the first I've heard of that problem" or " We are investigating ,making some changes" or " Sometimes it takes us a little while to implement improvements" .

Ebay gets a lot of money from this guy. He has to be really, really, really bad to get them to notice his behaviour and to stop allowing him to use their system for mutual profit.

Ebay, now ,once again, allows phone contact. They have vacilated over this, many times over the years but it seems that for a while at least , they are at least a little serious about entertaining people with issues, in a direct way

So, all of you ---and it seems that there are a lot, who are livid about Mr. Aronson's activities on ebay; COMPLAIN----make sure it is a legitimate complaint , and preferably within the past 45 days---otherwise they won't do anything( policy)---but maybe if there is enough???. The best way of doing this, is file some violation in a listing( look for "report this item")---something like a fake item , or if you've bought something recently that was lousy, file about that, or excessive shipping charges----anything that works. You can do it electronically or by phone. If Mr. Aronson is as bad as he is claimed to be , then that is the best way of shutting him down. Ebay doesn't really do anything ,until the evidence becomes overwhelming. I'm sure there are enough of you out there, seriously bothered enough to go to the source.

This might be a dumb question, but who is Jonas Aronson?

Very familiar with Leecountymusic and their multiple aliases but not familiar with the man behind it.

The man is a crook, a lowlife......someone who scams on the uninitiated to the vintage drum hobby. The man is the lowest of the low......as shown in the testimonial post of someone who worked for him a few pages back in this thread.

I don't care for this guy either. However, the main problem is that if a buyer has a problem, not matter how small or large, & the buyer works out some sort of refund : the buyer is not likely to leave honest, bad feedback; or with a return w/in ebay : the buyer cannot leave ANY bad feedback at all. Period. I'd wager LCM knows this intimately, charges an arm & a leg because he knows the world is peopled by morons who keep paying his rates ... & he can easily offer a refund to make moron happy while moron keeps the drum junk. That is where I can't stand ebay; also the fact that whenever you do call them @ anything all you get is an Indian automaton spewing out pat answers w/ zero ability to unplug their brain & think, & then provide a helpful answer to the issue at hand.

Incidentally, I find it ironic that so many bash ebay when its ebay that has contributed to so many sellers on & off the site reaping the sales that would otherwise not happen. I sell on ebay. The main reason I do is no one where I live will pay what my kits are worth. I work hard to clean these buggers up & get them to collector quality & I'll be damned if I'm going to hand them out for free.Soap Box. Sorry.

This is correct, the way things work with ebay now. In the past sellers USED to be able to leave bad feedback to the buyer. People abused the feedback system, so ebay yanked the option to leave neg feedback from sellers. Personally I think they should bring that option back as there are a lot of deadbeat buyers out there. Legit sellers should be able to leave some kind of feedback to warn other sellers about them....

The subject of this thread has been around a long time. He went under his real name years ago, and became a pariah. He then seemed to disappear for a while.

As eBay became bigger and bigger as a source of drum stuff, those other ids began showing up. The practice of destroying drums for parts caught the attention of the vintage community, and it was just a matter of time before it became clear that a number of the ids were linked to one person, and that the person was J.A.

Now they have a "report a buyer" button you can click.......
