I have sold many items to her. Payment was made from Ga yle. I think theres more than 1 party involved here as the drumpartscounter also uses the red paisley material, but is located in New Hampshire. All those Rogers Pacific blue shells are mine. Ive been looking at those stripped shells now for over a year. It was sad to see the stuff I spent time restoring end up like that, but nobody else wanted them. Nobody still doesnt want them. lol

The "drumspartscounter" is located in Florida not NH. At least that is the information you get if you do a search on the name through Ebay. And besides that, I don't think I've ever seen a palm tree in NH. http://www.ebay.com/itm/1960s-ROGERS-POWERTONE-SNARE-DRUM-in-RED-SPARKLE-/280898528665?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4166db6599#ht_5974wt_951 The four accounts are all Jonas or affiliated with him.

I wouldn't buy or sell to this person if he was the last person on the planet with a part I needed. He has no regard for vintage drums or the people that play them. If everyone who claims to care about our instrument abstained from doing business with this drum stripper, he would be forced to move on and destroy some other piece of history.

He uses or has used all of these....Leecountymusic, thedrumpartscounter, theolddrumshop, p00der2, and there is one other one which I'm looking for. I know that p00der2 was switched to Leecountymusic, but there is one more, possibly 2.....

From drumfactory

so...who is Jonas Aronson?

Jonas is a musical equipment dealer that has gotten a very bad reputation over the years...I have never dealt with him but "Gaile" (sp so as to get the name out) did buy a few items from me in the last few years...not sure if Jonas/"Gaile" are the same or in business together or whatever...

I know where I shipped the drums. I have the receipt in my hand... And if you search eBay via location {nearest first}, you will see that all the names shown here used come up 1,000,000 away. Its possible they have multiple places they operate from. It was a guy that paid for the drums in NH. His name is John Lanteigne lives in Berlin NH.. In fact Ive sold many items to this addy. Heres what he looks like... [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W1ut_tSQJoc&feature=plcp[/ame]

I must agree as to the palm tree and cant explain that and thedrumpartscounter does charge tax in the state of Fla. I think we are talking multiple people here and locations. Possible vacation home? This guy is definitely in on it. I have looked at those shells now for almost a year now and they were even posted in here in the for sale section in July of last year.. They also strip trucks too..

I've read through most of these post and I'm a bit puzzled. Here are couple of the scenarios:

1. You sell your drum on eBay for $300. Leecounty relists it at $600 and that's an issue. Why?

2. They strip a drum that isn't selling, opening the opportunity for folks with drums that have missing parts (and what drum doesn't?) and sell you that part at a price you agree to pay. Is that a problem? I think only if you don't get the part expected and they don't take care of the problem. There seems to be some issue with that, but I have to ask what eBay has done with respect to the Buyer Protection Plan?

I have purchased a few things from the consortium. Not much, but a few items, some of which are on the way. So I'll check more carefully to see if I find issues as some have.

With respect to Jonas, in the early 90's I bought and sold with him regularly and visited his beautiful storefront in downtown Annapolis, MD. I got some really nice stuff: a Rogers 22,13,16 Cozy Cole in champagne sparkle for about $700 or so back then. A Camco 20,12,14 in burgandy sparkle for $500 or so. I was really pleased with both and there are more I can't recall. So I don't know if something has changed, but I find people from this post have sold me kits and so forth that weren't as accurately described as Jonas's things were then. Drum gurus that sell Rogers 14" floor toms with legs for a 16"

or bad chrome when only the rods are mentioned as an issue. But you have to understand everyone doesn't know each others pet peaves and may honestly not know every detail of every marque. I recently sold a serious Rogers guy a floor tom that had a later hoop than the era of the drum. I didn't know. He sent photos, explained and said keep an eye out for this. So now I know and I'll try to do better.

I agree if you don't like 'em don't buy, but remember we are judged with the measure with which we judge. So be careful tearing folks down on the posts. Tell us the facts and leave the rest aside.
