I think I'm going to put a vintage Ludwig decal on the bass drum head. Not sure if it should be white or silver (or gold).
LATE 70s LUDWIG BLACK PANTHER Last viewed: 5 hours ago
My first Drum Teacher when I was very young during the mid seventies had a Black Panther. I loved that kit and still remember it fondly. It seemed huge to me at the time!

That is a fantastic looking kit. I think a white logo or a chrome logo would be a great choice. I would personnaly go for the chrome as it would help make the kit pop! As mentioned, stage lighting (or any lighting for that matter) does not do them justice. That is because neither black nor a matte finish reflects light.

Appreciate the suggestions! I just ordered a chrome logo simply to create a somewhat "unique" look from my other Luddy kits.

I vote for chrome...that would look sharp on a black head like that. I'm using a traditional early small block logo on smooth white heads myself.....
I remember seeing these in the music stores as used sets in the early 80's and didn't know what to think of them but your set looks spectacular. What's your dog's name?

Thanks so much for the positive feedback! My "real" dog's name is Sparty. However, the one in the pic isn't real.
