I would consider it...after I checked them out. I have a set identical (almost) to that one. Mine is actually a dual setup. I can go either four or five piece. I have all the hardware/toms for that. I also have the matching snare...blah blah blah. Point is...it's a nice kit and is worth the money. The ONLY issue I would have is that statement, "normal scuff wear". That's usually a killer. Check out that finish carefully. If it's shot, you're done. There ain't no replacement wrap to help you on this one. If the wrap is banged up, it's not worth the money.

[COLOR="Indigo"]It's not a terrible price, I mean a vintage shop would tag 'em at $800+. But for a private seller, and without a snare drum, and it being on C'list....probably $550 is a fairer market price. It is still posted, so I would assume at this point the seller would take some offers.

Even at $600, it's a decent deal.

The Standard shells were the exact same as the Classic shells, just painted inside. It was the hardware which was a bit lighter, but still held up fine. These sound just as good as a Ludwig Classic kit of the same period.[/COLOR]
