I still remember when the first Kentucky Headhunters album came out in 1989. PICKIN' ON NASHVILLE. Blew my mind. Hadn't heard anything like that in a long time. Especially their version of the old Bill Monroe tune "WALK SOFTELY ON THIS HEART OF MINE". The best song on that album has to be the last one "MY DADDY WAS A MILKMAN". Completely Balls to the wall Rock. Fred's drumming is incredible. To bad the Headhunters aren't still big like they were 25 years ago. Wish I had seen them live back in the day.

Found an entire concert of The HeadHunters from 2011. They're only a four piece here but man can they still play.

What kind of calfskins can take that type of punishment?! I used a set once on a party and I thorn the rack tom (A Radio king!) right in the middle! Never again! That was a $60 head!

he is using calfskins on the reso side evans G2 on the batter side.
