You got lucky. I had the original bid, and was going to come back for it, but since I am not getting the kit I thought I was getting, I let it go. Did you take the 20" Whitehall ride? I won the hihats and Ludwig stand, but let the snare go. I am going to email him later to see if it sold, if not, I am going to have him send it as well.

OH no...I let it go, it was because I didn't need it anymore. I was going to buy a kit it would match, but since it is not going to match anything I have now, that is why I let it go. That looks like a nice little drum. When you get it in let's have a good look at it, dissect it, if you will....And it is a Star era drum, not Pearl.

Nice pick up, Wayne! I thought about bidding on that one, but I dont need another project around here right now. Would've been cool to have the matching WMP/BDP set, though. But I'm sure it will be a great addition to you're Star BDP set.

When you get it, could you send me a couple pics of the strainer? Especially the bottom part where the snare cords attach? That's the part that mine is missing, and even though I'm going to install a new strainer, I'm still keeping an eye out for that missing part (I'm sure it's around town somewhere.)

Let us know how it cleans up and how it sounds!

Those are the original Star King Stone plastic heads. Keep them, even if you don't use them, they are a good part of hidtory. All mine have Sound Masters. I have no Kings Stones...yet. That is a nice drum. Clean it carefully, and use automotive rubbing compound. It works so much better than anything else.
