I was vaguely following the progress of a(n admittedly pretty old) Camco snare strainer which went for, wait for it, 404 USD.

Has anyone heard of any other small accoutrement going for anything as outrageous as this (might be a fun little thread)?

I'd previously been slightly outraged at a single floor tom without legs, damper and only original rim in pretty dodgy shape going for 450 USD last week (seems wild to me) but this one really took the cake. Stop this madness, I say. Or maybe time to start collecting Ludwig.

I have a Slingerland Radio King 5 x 14 single ply snare with Stick Choppers that I am seriously considering parting out. The top rim of the same style as mine just sold for $334.00, and I have the original pair, plus all the hardware...

Its better to have people think you're an idiot, than to open your mouth and prove them wrong, unless you doubt yourself then speak away....
