First thought is definitiely MIJ. It could be either a slightley later date copy or an actual 1968 Pearl stencil. Those bass t-rods, wood hoops and the fact that the bass drum has 8 lugs around- regardless of the year it was actually produced thats a Pearl 68"deluxe" stencil copy almost certainly.

Thanks for the info Mikey- I trust your judgement- some 68 Pearls here (the one I saw was a "Deluxe" outfit have those same t-rods- I wonder if Pearl ran out and bought some from Star, LOL!

50 bucks isn`t bad if you have a need for it

Good eye, Mikey, that does look like the Norma badge. I posted a pic of my red sparkle Norma snare drum in the Norma thread a little while ago. The shell on that thing is very, very thin, and is in need of a repair. If the repair ever gets done, I'm sure it will be a decent sounding snare.

As for this tom and bass, 50 bucks is a good deal if shipping isn't too bad. They look to be complete/original, so that's good. Cant really make out too much about the condition or the construction from the pic, but being that all the parts are there I doubt they have been messed with too much if at all.

Actually, it looks like the heads on the tom may be original too. I bet these sound pretty good as they are.

I agree, these are probably Star made.

Finish looks like it's in good shape. If the BD was a 20" I might be interested in these myself!

Looking at the tom mount, that is a Star set. Did you get them? They are nice, and if you did not, let me know, I might take a stab at them.
