It's 14 inch, anyone any idea which brand it could be?

Thats a stencil snare. I have that exact same one only I have the origional strainer on it.The bottom rim is something non origional. I would say thats worth $25 - $35.As far as brand name goes...Mine doesn't have a badge and the other I have seen on ebay didn't have a badge either. So my assumption is that it was generic and was part of numerous stencil brands.

Does that snare have 8 or 10 lugs? Has it been painted? CB percussion made a snare very similar to that of your snare. I have one which is chrome and has 10 lugs. It too, is missing the badge (sticker) as well. The body is nearly exact as the one I have. Hmmmmmmmm Pearl also made one like that with that type of bottom rim as did Tama. I believe Tama had the Imperial Star snare that had a similar bottom rim. As ArchX said though, it may not be the correct rim. Very interesting just the same. I'm gonna stare at this for another hour!! LOL
The throw off was changed huh? I'm leaning towards Imperial Star now. Maybe something someone had made into a project drum??
Naaaaaa I take it back. I go with ArchX........ I believe he's right.

This is a Tama Imperialstar snare. The last pic is the version I have. The top is the other version that came after with the more basic strainer.

Yep....... I had an Imperial Star and I couldn't really remember what the shell looked like but I did remember the weird bottom rim that kind of protected the strainer. But I do agree with you in that the snare in question is a "stencil" or CB type snare.
