Right down there in my signiture,...XK9207 Phonic Sound machine,..1976 !!...has the huge bassplate with lever control tom holders for the bass drum and stand too. All the metal is heat treated and cromed. Bought Roto Toms for the highs, 6/8/10 , they take the place of the small drums in the other options. 20 bucks at a flea market in fine condition, the only thing that sucks is I need a wrench for them, the Sonors are no tools, tear down and set up.

The drums only came with the Hi hat stand and BP.(not Sonor) I got the cymbals at flea markets and the stands too. OH yea, the seat come with the drums too. The MIJ hi hats are cracked on the top one around the edges, the bottom one is mushrooming. The B8 has little dents all around it from hit`n, but the A Zildgian with rivet holes is fine and cleans up well !!

Oh ya,...I found a snare in the trash with a good hard case, don`t know what kind cuz it has no markings,then I bought a cheap CB stand for it and replaced the strainer with a Ludwig brand at Jacks in Boston where I got all Remo Emperor heads for everything except the front of the bass cuz it`s clear and says Sonor with the lolly pops on it.

The B8 has little dents all around it from hit`n!

What exactly does that mean? What was it hit with, a hammer? I know of no sticks that would dent a cymbal like that, crack it maybe if struck incorrectly, but not dent it.

I own an early '80s Phonics kit, and I have a 506 snare....I absolutely love it. If you see one anywhere, in any condition, grab it. Itll be a choice you will not regret...

Oh I want one bad,...But I think it`s gonna be outta my range for a while. I`ve no idea what I`m gonna have to pay for one yet !!

As for the other post,...I sometimes turn my sticks around and play the backside !! If you look at it sideways when spinning it,..it looks like a warped LP record !!
