looks like its missing some hardware.....??? looks like some hoops are missing on the botom of the drums. Costs $$$ to replace....
Let it go...yes, it is a '60's Pearl Stencil, but it appears that that's paint on top of the original wrap. Like VT said, missing hardware and such, too.
Nope...a nice '60's Pearl kit in decent shape is only about $250-300 and wouldn't need work.
Just curious...what are you looking for, particularly ? Rock kit, jazz kit ? How old ? Max price ? Does mfr. matter ?
jaye
personally i want anything vintage price not too high as im a 19 year old with a job that only pays 8.50 an hour. make year model doesnt matter im not picky i just like vintage drums. i see em and just want to get them. dont know too much about d=old drums but know a little.
I totally did what you are saying. But THAT kit was just gonna cost a good $100-200 to bring back up to speed.
Vintage Japanese is a good way to go, then. Could be looking at anything from a '60's Pearl to an '80's Tama (with the painted Zola-coated interiors)...you can peg something like that for under 3 bill$ pretty easy...
oh yeah i realized i was just getting jumpy. one thing i have learned is patience pays off. i actually just picked up a no name japenese kit snare included with cymbals and stands from goodwill for 20 bucks. ill have too post pics of my sets instead of talking about them. i have more questions to post too. hope you can help me out.
