Im trying to restore an old leedy drum that was originally made with approx 36" gut wire snares. I would love to keep the drum origional looking. Does anyone know where I can purchase gut snare wire's ?They almost look like a 0.47 guage guitar string. Thanks

Mike Curotto is the best person to ask about this since he sets up many of his drums as they originally were. He also has mentioned that the sound is unique and indicative of that time period.
