hey everyone,

for sale this time around I have a nice vintage Gretsch round badge snare drum in original Red Sparkle! (No extra holes!)

6ply

8 lug

die cast hoops

micro sensitive throw with 4 point butt

internal muffler

round badge

All Original parts except for eight tension rods!

Remo coated ambassador batter

Remo Ambassador hazy bottom

Tama 42 strand snare wires

i believe it to be an early 60's as it's a 6x14 and does not have an interior paper tag. its a 6 ply drum

great bearing edges!

wrap is vibrant and tight at the seam, the original sparkle is beautiful, really rich and warm.

there is moderate pitting on the hoops with some flaking on the interior of the hoops. the lugs and throw off show some pitting as well. the hardware on the drum performs beautifully, throw off and butt work great, internal muffler works great as well.

she looks great as is but if you give her a bath she will turn even more heads!

most importantly... this drum sounds and plays excellent! its that sound... seriously. would love for a player to buy this drum and give it hell! also wouldnt mind a responsible collector who would go the whole 9 on it.

$450 shipped OR BEST OFFER (in the US) takes it! first come first serve.

let me know if you are interested,

thanks!

RB - that's a sweet old snare drum. Be Patient. Sometimes it takes awhile to get stuff sold around these parts. But good drums always get bought eventually. I've had to wait as long as a month or more to sell some items, and I never sell junk. Just a matter of the right buyer showing up.

There's a guy out there looking for -that- drum. Just a matter of time and a little luck. Hang in there, that's a real nice one.

John

Too many great drums to list here!

Hmmm. Interested in a Roland Handsonic HPD 15? Perfect shape, manual, & power supply? Was gonna list it on ebay for $550. They seem to go for 450-600 right now.
