Gretsch Black Hawk Last viewed: 5 hours ago

Disregard the Pearl head, seller says all four drums are Black Hawks. Looks like the 80's version. What is the approximate value of the set?

Not much. The snare is interesting, though.

The issue here is not about worth. It's more about Market. You can snag a new Blackhawk for right at 300 (I've done it three times...it can be done), so that puts this used incomplete one considerably under that.

Not good for resale. Nice gigger, though

It's only $75, but I don't need another player's set and it's an hour drive away. When I asked about the snare, the owner did say he would miss it the most. Maybe that would make it worth the trip. Thanks for the info.

I would buy these for $75.The snare, the nice looking chubby bootleg Rogers lugs,7/8"tube universal mount size etc.Fun cheap recover project. But I'm into making something out of nothing.Little to no resale potential.

And the snare looks to have a parallel strainer, could be a King Beat or Jupiter, you never know. If either one, it alone in fair to good condition could well pay for the trip, and leave you a full tank of gas and dinner. Or a really killer player snare.
