Bass drum badge has been changed...it has a grommet, while the others have a push pin. Funny, no pics of the inside of the bass drum, too.

Its better to have people think you're an idiot, than to open your mouth and prove them wrong, unless you doubt yourself then speak away....

Ummm.....I don't think so. Gretsch bass drum and snare drum badges have always had grommets, only the toms had tacked on badges.

Bill if you happen to see this I wonder if a snare drum came with the kit? I would think it did at some time??Cool1Clapping Happy2 as all the big manufacturers were trying to woo the big name players away from each other,so a unique color or set was a big deal as it is still today!!!

Just now saw this...thanks for the interest! It's a very cool kit, especially in person. Regarding the snare...it very well may have originally had a matching snare. Carl Ferraro, the owner, always preferred Slingerland snares, which his family said had already been sold off to a friend. They had no memory of a matching Gretsch snare. Imagine finding it?!?

Thanks,

Bill

ps - let me know if you need a pic of the bass drum interior, I'll be glad to take one.

Man this is one nice kit,yes to find a natching snare drum oh that would be to much! you have priced it reasonable for what it is!, like you said from a few feet it looks white marine pearl so a wmp snare drum would work quite well!
