Tommyp! Great information as always! So, it was the Corder SFT throw and butt? Good to know! Here are pictures of the completed Cannon/Corder/Keller SFT snare drum! I wrapped it in Black Glass Glitter and swapped the Pearl-style lugs for something more modern. The lugs were from DFD, part number DC-012, known as the "Double Ended Bread Loaf Snare Drum Lug". I had to swap out the lower threaded lug nut from the Pearl lugs and was lucky that they fit the new lugs! Another fine drum that I should have hung onto! I sold it back in 2004 and probably not for much. Today, it would have commanded quite a bit more!!-Mark

… and THIS, is even nicer! What a beauty!, and the lug swap was killer. Put the drum right over the top. Had I seen that for sale, I would have grabbed it! The Fibes/Corder SFT throw and butt on that drum is awesome .. plus .. a Keller shell .. no doubt played and sounded great. Nice job as always Mark! 😎👍🏻😎

Thanks for the kind words! Yes, it sounded great! Hard to believe it's been almost 18 years since I sold it...long before I had any idea of what I had!

I ended up getting the snare refinished because of the poor cosmetic condition the drum came in.

A gotcha folks should be aware of is the butt plate attachment hardware has a different hole drilling pattern than the later ones and the Pearl free floating snares won't work without some modification.

I was lucky I had purchased an old Fibes NOS a few years ago and it worked fine.
