The visual and sound are off by about two full beats, but that brings back memories. One of my first concerts, I saw Edgar Winter Group, that same configuration with Rick Derringer in 1974. Both Frankenstein and Free Ride were particularly awesome, extended versions, and Edgar played drums and the ARP 2600 synth playing just blew me away.
Wow! I always thought it was two drummers on two kits on that song. Never knew it was Edgar on timbales! Plus Rick Derringer was just using a basic Slingerland 4 piece. I thought he had some sort of "Monster" kit. Very enlightning!
Thanks! Cool1

Cool, I'm glad you learned something yeah it's fooled a lot of folks, Um? Rick Derringer is a Guitar player he's wearing the white shirt and pants and he is on the Les Paul black Beauty! Cool, Chuck Ruff is the drummer on this tune!
There you go! See what I know! DOH
Love the song but don't know squat about the group!
Thanks for the correction! Cooked Egg

Thanks for that! One of my all time favorites. I was just telling my son how lucky he is to have Utube. When I was a kid learning that song I thought it was it was Chuck Ruff on a monster concert tom kit. I pulled my hair out trying to to learn that break. What a revelation when I found out it was Edgar on the timbales! It also reminds me of trying to learn Fireball by Deep Purple than finding out 25 years later that they brought out a second bass drum for just that song. Kids got it easy today !:D
