EBAY SELLER ALERT: "the*classics" Last viewed: 1 hour ago

Dear "the*classics", formally oldrums* AKA Stewy...

This holiday season, I was really looking forward to receiving my early/mid-50's Leedy and Ludwig 4x14 (actually 4.5x14) "side-by-side" new era blue sparkle snare drum. See, I've posted on this forum in the past specifically looking for this model. When I purchased it from you on eBay and paid you instantly, I was filled with xmas cheer. Hopes of receiving the drum, replacing the butt plate, putting on the correct hoops, and an easy clean-up, were really making this holiday bright...

Well jack-ass, it's 9:00am PST and you just refunded my money saying the drum should never have been listed, as it was previously sold. Are you f***ing kidding me?

I hope Santa takes a dump in your stocking.

Merry Christmas, d*ck.

That's a tough break, Ebay is that kind of place and many times sellers think they could have gotten more for an item. Or better yet they get an email from someone saying they should have sold it for more.

If he truly made the mistake, which can happen when you sell a lot of items on Ebay. Then I hope he did apologize for the error.

I have had things in my Ebay store that I sold when I did not have it for whatever reason. It was a $6 item though and I emailed the buyer and offered another item and through in a freebie.

So mistakes can happen and unfortunately it happened to you.

Is was also good you did get your money back, I know a few people that got nothing back and that is when they paid with a MO...

This is one reason why Ebay has gone Pay Pal only.

I'm not tyring to make light of the situation or try and make it any better, it is what it is, - a bad mistake!

Thanks for writing David. Another member also had this done to his purchase this morning as well... We've both spoken with eBay, and they're on him...

Happy Holidays!!!!

YIKES!

I hope my luck is better.

I was looking at another forum and I saw a kit that jogged my memory -hadn't thought about it in a looooong time. All of a sudden, there one was on EBay and the BIN was very reasonable. Well, I went for it on the basis of one lonely photo. I hope it all works out for the best and, IF it does, then I will relay some pictures for the forum to look at. On the other hand... if it doesn't go well, then I'll be back to grumble for awhile, too.

Hopefully all will work out for you. Sometimes, one door closes so that another one opens!

...yeah...that guy was more of a straight-shooter when he was just selling as an individual (Stewy) as opposed to his big-production store.

Strange guy, nevertheless....My transactions w/ him went fine (long ago), but the prices he asks for a lotta items are just downright bizarre...

I cannot recommend....
