Here's another frustrating ebay transaction.

This is what the buyer sent to me:

QUOTE:

I want to know if you would like to refund my money and ship it back or do something to offset the price, maybe a twenty dollar bill shot back at me.

Remember I still got to give feedback.

UNQUOTE:

I sent the following:

QUOTE:

Hey,

If you want to ship it back, no sweat. Ship it back. I'll refund what you paid when I get it. I don't pay for feedback, it's unethical, so that's not an option. Again, if you don't like it, ship it back. When I get it, I'll

refund whatever you paid. No sweat. If you decide you like it, then by all means keep it and enjoy it. Either way, be happy with your decision.

UNQUOTE:

This is the NEUTRAL feedback he left me:

QUOTE:

poorly explained. Its is not in exl condition. So bad I am reseling. ask questio

UNQUOTE:

I filed an EXTORTION complaint with ebay. They said there was no evidence to support the claim.

Unreal.

I replied to ebay that he ASKED for twenty dollars back and reminded me that he "still got to give feedback". I offered the doggone refund if he wasn't happy. He never sent the thing back. They still say there's no evidence of extortion. IDIOTS!!!

I'm pretty much finished with selling stuff on ebay. It is getting to where it's not worth the trouble. This was for an older model DW snare stand. The buyer was bothered that it wasn't like the DW stands they sell today with DW imprinted on the rubber feet. That was his complaint. The doggone stand was like new. It was used in my house to hold up my Roland snare pad. That's all it ever did. It still had the doggone tag on it, for goodness sake.

Unreal.

Sucks, man. Sorry to hear it.

Sometimes, it doesn't matter what you do, some people are impossible to please. To me, that's clearly an extortion move, but it apparently doesn't meet EBay's definition.

I usually require 20 or 30 positive response bidders only.

I feel your pain brother, I feel your pain. See MY rant post below.....Mind Blowi

These are the exact reasons I stopped selling on ebay. I once bought a vintage Hercules series hi hat stand off of ebay. Was supposed to be mint shape....far from it. When I contacted the seller about it, they told me tuff monkey doo doo, all sales final. I was sure it was a bain and switch scam, but ebay would do nothing for me. I left neg feedback and called it a learning experience. I relisted it on ebay stating it was the biggest rustiest piece of junk with no reserve and it sold for more than I paid for it! Then 2 weeks later when the person left me feedback they left me neg feedback because of the way it was packed! Mind Blowi They had an issue with the thing because the box was filled with those foam peanuts, which I hare btw, but I had simply re-used the packaging that I got it in. Aparently, when they opened it they went everywhere and their dog started eating them or some such non-sense......to which I replied, that that was not my problem and that maybe, just maybe they should be more careful about opening their packages around their pets. No mention was made of the fact that the stand was a rusty hulk usable for nothing more than parts (and was listed as such) and that they paid me $72 for it at the end of the auction....plus shipping!

That was one of the last transactions I did on ebay as a seller.....the best one was the guy who tried to extort me on feedback bacause "I didn't send the rod" with the DW hi hat stand I sold. It was listed with it, I don't need it whay would I keep it? Obviously it was still in the box, or fell out through some hole in the box, but the guy insisted I didn't list it accurately. I told him to file a claim with the shipping company because I sent it complete. Morons, utter morons.....and that was the transaction that ended my selling on ebay.
