I guess when I first started I never knew what the term Key Hole was.
I saw this cymbal on Ebay and thought it was the worst I have ever seen.

WOW! That's a bad "keyhole" (more like a black hole!).
i think at that point it's no longer called a "key hole" rather a "window".
...and all because they didn't use felts and/or rubber tubing, the cheapest parts to maintain. They probably just banged it until it dropped to the bottom of the flat-based stand.
That's terrible! I've had a few old ride's that've shown signs of ware around the hole I had an old ridged Zildjian that had a keyhole, but that must've seen some action! Yep wrst I've seen!
