Drouyn&Drouyn aka Dandy Last viewed: 2 hours ago

Hi to all. I looked at the drum badge section and there were none from Drouyn, so I have two different styles to show, in which webmaster can include, if sees fit. I have read past posts and to my knowledge Dandy came from Drouyn&Drouyn... D and D...Dandy. My two snares may be of interest as one was made in Stones Corner in Brisbane and one in Perth. They both need a screwdriver to tune. The 4inch has 10 lugs and 5inch has only 8 (maybe a student model). Just sharing info to fellow drummers.

That's what it says on the badge on the gold snare. I also thought it odd. You can see a hint of green which used to be drums colour before age took it's toll. It has very plain hardware. Great tone.

Not made in Perth, Brisbane production but the retailer was in Perth, Nicholsons Music was a national chain.

They would have ordered with the custom badge...Where's Trout..

Cheers

Still really great history...

Cool drums. Neat hearing about drums from Australia. I have no knowledge of what was/is available in your part of the world. Thanks for posting.

Very interesting. Thanks for sharing.

Those are serious cast rims on that 4". Are they stock?

Apart from new heads and a dusting, nothing has been altered from my end. I was working in the bowels of a local school and music teacher preferred the look of the new Yamaha snares, so sold to me for a cake.
