I'm still looking for the psych red hoops.

Way cool kit! Hope you find them soon.
Hey Mike, he is hard to get ahold of but I bet Jack Lawton has them.
I realize that they're not original to the kit but I'm a sucker for those maple hoops!
Put one each of the Psych red on the out side and the maples on the inside, that will bring the kit together.
1965 Club Date/Downbeat Combo Blue Sparkle
Cleveland Rogers COB Powertone snare
1965 Ludwig Supra Snare
Maybe it's just the angle but the bass with the maple hoops looks bigger.
Hey, the kit looks great!
Have you contacted Precision or Jammin' Sam? Either of them probably has enough material they could get you inlay strips. They may not match perfectly, but you could put the two hoops with the reproduction inlays on the back sides and no one would notice.
You can usually find the correct hoops on eBay. You may have to be patient to get them at a descent price, but they are available. Then just add in the inlays strips you get from either of the above.

Beautiful drums. When I was 17,I passed on a kit like that with an additional 16x18 tom and 6 Zildjians for......500.The seller was a heroine addict, who owned a rehersal/recording studio, and just needed the cash.At the time,i really wasn't crazy about psych red.Mind Blowi
