Need nine tension rods for 1969 20” club date bass drum, don’t mind modern rods or if they have t handles, just need them to fit (and function)

FYI... rod length is always measured from below the collar to the end of the threads. I see too many sellers giving the total length of the tension rod, whether is a normal rod for snare drums, toms and bass drums, or T-rods. No, these are NOT 1-15/16", they are 1.5" when measured the correct way from below the collar.

right, I understand what your saying, as you know not every one measures rods same way, I asked for the rod length, if mine are same , should fit ? but thanks for the lesson.

Hi burgundy! Yes, I noticed that you were asking for the correct measurement, but I just wanted to offer up, to everyone, the proper way to measure tension rods. You'd be surprised at how many think you measure the entire length!

i'm not looking , i'm offering rods to rhythworker, but either he does not need them, or does not know he is supposed to answer his add! the rods I have a 7" working length, should work for a club-date.

Sorry, posted ad and went away for weekend, (winter is long in Canada),

I need at least nine tension rods to fit a 1969 club date bass drum, the originals are 1 1/16th short of 7 1/2” long, 7” of shaft, 2” of thread,

I have one modern rod that fits but it is only 7” long. Looking for any rod that functions, t handle or not. Blair I believe I bought some parts from you a few years ago, thanks!
