....yeah, no...he is an idiot for using those shells for that paint job. A quality job on CB shells, sorry, he is an idiot. If he ever wanted to re-coup his money, or any significant part of it, he should have bought new Kellers. At least he could havesaid they are really custom drums. I make no bones, and no illusions, my re-creations are worth as much as they were, well, maybe more, a little, that they are on a normal C/L price point.
I know, I know...but seriously? I spend like 20 bucks to do an entire kit of orphan shells that I got for like 40 bucks, and if I get 200...WooHoo! My time? Well, I do it for my head...you know, huffin' all tha....I mean, it keeps me grounded.
"I enjoy restoring 60s Japanese "stencil" drums...I can actually afford them..."I rescue the worst of the old valueless drums for disadvantaged Children and gladly accept donations of parts, pieces and orphans, No cockroaches, please...

Hey RoundBadge--
Since you were so envious of that uber-cool "Toxic" CB kit, I thought you might want to see this almost-as-kewl kit I ran across recently. Apparently it's a faux wrap, easily removable, should you care to show off the underlying primo quality Peace kit beneath....
