Did you get them from Agopsalott?
Camco/Hoshino Bop Kit Last viewed: 0 seconds ago
Beautiful kit, I think the shells are the same as the ones Tama used for the Super Stars of the same era,6 ply birch. Not 100% sure on that, maybe some can chime in on that?

Is the tom arm a Camco original part? I have one that came with a 79 Tama superstar set. Thanks
Very cool! Haven't seen this kit with the bop bass drum. Congrats!

Original to this set. The Camco/Hoshino's used a lot of Tama parts, such as spurs/bkts, BD tom mount, and the arm itself, legs and leg mounts for FT and mounted tom bracket etc.
Very nice. These do not have re rims inside correct? Just straight shells?
Thanks for sharing!

"The only production run maple drum known was a snare called the MEGA8 Maple. It was an 8x14 drum in natural blonde finish that utilized left over Camco maple shells after Tama and DW's buy out of that company. It looks like a pre Mighty Lug 8" snare, utilizing all the same hardware. The tell is that the Camco shells had vertical seams and the Japanese made Tama shells had a diagonal cut seam. Diagonal seams were used on all Japanese made versions of the Superstar shells, including the early thin shell with reinforcing hoop versions."
I can't believe there would be two of these in existence. I owned the identical kit that i sold late last year. Is this the same kit? Mine also had the original heads with the Camco logo. Did you buy it from a drummer in LA?
