Any guess as to the age of this pedal and cymbal stands?

Hey Hankster --

I have a hi-hat stand that's nearly identical to the one on the left. Minor variation in the heelpiece but the rest of the lower portion shown in your detail is the same.

The top is different though. Can't tell from your picture, but mine has two wooden parts combined to hold the bottom cymbal -- an inverted bowl-shaped piece topped by a cylindrical one. Stamped on the top piece is: TATE, BOSTON, Mass.

I'm as curious about it as you. It came as part of a mismatched set of drums which I'll be posting about soon. They're both from the '40s, so I'd guess the hi-hat stand is too.

Hi, Hankster,

The hi-hat pedal you've got on the far right is definitely a Leedy model. It's featured under the Leedy "Product Developments" between 1921 - 1929 on page 69 of Rob Cook's fine publication, The Complete History of the Leedy Drum Company.

I happen to own a Leedy Hi-Hat stand that features the identical pedal.band2

I found a "Buck Rogers"? snare stand. When did this item originate? Did Ludwig 1st produce this? It has patent numbers stamped on it. It also came with a 1939 WFL set. Its an awsome snare stand. Heavy duty elevates / suspends the snare in a way like no other..
