Hey Jaye, Will the "Wrights" take off the logos? I have looked for it and have not found it yet.

Barkeeper's Friend, this works great. I wet the cymbal down good with warm water, then sprinkle the powder on the cymbal. Smear it around all over the cymbal, wait about 3 minutes and rinse real good with warm water. Dry off real good with a soft rag. It`s like "magic".
"GROOVE JUICE" has always worked great for me!
Where do you buy "Barkeeper's Friend" ?

I got it at Wallmart
Barkeeps Friend is fairly abrasive. It's your Ajax/Comet type of cleanser but has more grit to it dry. Does wonders on the kitchen sink and bathtub.
Not a guru just havin fun with some old dusty drums.

Groove Juice is awesome but it demolishes ink logos, doesn't it ? It also tends to do a complete "strip job".
Barkeepers Friend ...hardware store or grocery store. walmart is evil Same with Wright's....at least 'round these here pats....
FFR is correct....IF you don't dissolve it into a watery paste FIRST. As I noted previously...you don't wanna put Barkeeper's on your cymbal in powder form.
Yes, both Wright's and Barkeepers do effect ink logos...but they won't obliterate 'em....you'd have to do more than 3 applications of either to actually remove the logos. One or two applications is only gonna fade the logos a bit......

I've used "Groove Juice" and it does a complete strip job. Great if you want gleaming , bright cymbals as is intended by Zildjian in their "A Custom" series.
I tried "Old Dutch" cleanser last night on a really messy vintage Sabian and it did an nice job removing the "grunge" but leaving original patina and not harming the logo. Maybe the same results as Bar Keeper's Friend?

I scored some old 15" zil hats yesterday and a 16" crash, I also got a nice 20" ride with the premiers I got last week. I grove juiced all of them last night and wasnt happy with the results. They had streaks and several dark spots left on them. I read y'all posts about the bar keepers friend and just happened to have some that I use to soak lugs and t rods in when Im restoring something. The bar keepers friend has my vote! they all look like new now! i am simply amazed!
