My traditional seties 19” has a large bell as does my 20” wide ride. I akso had 19” and 22” antiques and they had large bells. The masters and black pearl have small bells which gives them their sound. The bells still sound great just a small target and high pitch.

yea my 19" Antique Thin Ride (1663g) is pretty ok;

they are all not bad just would wish the default bell was a lil wider not necess height.. width;

they'd really have something ; )

I guess when we’re talking about large and small bell we need to be a bit more accurate as to which is which. Maybe this is where Zen’s statistical accuracy plays a role?

Not sure if that's yet fully within the scope of his current research, although I have heard him discuss it.

But what I can tell you is that generally larger and flatter was the the old K. way.
