Hi Fayray,I have the same kit and I'm just wondering what method you used to "clean and polish" the wrap. Mines are 64 and I'm afraid cleaning them may harm their Mojo. There is a bit of fading and many years of smokey bars and DNA on the finish but they still look great. I think just giving them a good cleaning would maybe make them feel better but any ideas on what to use without inflicting any harm? Your methods and insight would be appreciated.thanks!

Another member here, Leedwig, goes over his 60s sparkle Ludwigs with a gentle car wash detergent and then polishes them with Meguiar's Cleaner Wax. They look stellar:

Not sure if there's any reason to avoid this treatment on an Oyster finish, though. An expert like Jaye may have some insight. Enjoy!

Hi Vince

Pretty much what section2 said. I just cleaned them off with a damp cloth and then used Novus plastic polish to take out the scratches. Then finished with a car wax. They will come up looking great. However, if you want to keep the original patina then maybe don't touch them. It's up to you.

Plastic polishes like Novus won't damage the finish and they will make them nice and shiny.
