And, just fyi, did you know that Paul Desmond hated Joe Morello's guts? He threatened to quit Brubeck's band unless Morello was replaced. Brubeck refused. The rest is history.

Yes I had heard that. Did you know that Take 5 was written by Brubeck and Desmond FOR Morello? Joe said he wanted to do a solo in 5/4, so Dave and Paul came up with Take 5, and the rest is history. Yes Sir

Did you know that I was arrested by Officer Baybeck in Desmond, OH for stealing five Cadbury Caramello candy bars from Wright's Five and Dime. I was a young punk and they put me into counseling, and the rest is ... sealed by the courts.
