Anyone Seen The Rack Tom For This Kit? Last viewed: 16 hours ago

I just finished this US Mercury kit, which came to me pretty mint with the original heads still on. Unfortunately, it's missing the rack tom. All the hardware is there but I've had no luck tracking down the missing drum. Anyone got one in the attic by chance?

Your two best bet's is Ebay or C/L..As you know your set was made by Star you can alway's buy a Star tom and recover it to match your set...Mikey

That's one of my absolutely favourite wraps.

Sorry, I don't have one for you ... and I think it will become very difficult to find one matching in that finish. Best of luck!

Mikey777, do know of a place that I can find a sheet of that wrap to do a re-cover?

Or is my bigger problem finding a tom that has the pointy teardrop shaped lugs, which I believe are a Sonor copy(?).....

It`s funny you say that because Sonor has a very very close wrap to that in the Swinger DE (1973) catalogue !! Well after the teardrops were phased ouit !!

Yes, You are right the lug's are copy's of 60's Sonor..Tom's with lug's show up on ebay from time to time,look under drum's made in japan,or vintage drum's japan..The wrap let my check with the place i get the wrap from and see if they have any...I will P/M you in a few day's to let you know..I also have the lug's if you fine a shell....Mikey

Whoa! Nice find, but I think it would stand out. I'll just leave the kit as a three piece for now...Can you share your source for that red wrap?
