Another "What are these worth?" threads.. Last viewed: 12 hours ago

Alright 2 sets I am thinking of talking myself into selling:

First set: 7pc Ludwig Accent CS Custom Elite in Amber gloss. 2- 18x22, 16x16, 14x14, 10x12, 8x10, and 6.5x14 matching snare. Toms have very few hours (less than 10) and both kicks and snare are brand spankin' new. I know these aren't high end drums, but they sound good and the hardware is really good for the Chinese made birch shells..

Thoughts?

Second set (and probably should be 2nd thread) late 70's Tama Imperialstar octa-plus set. 2-14x24's, 6 thru 16 concert toms, and 16 x 18 floor all in Midnight Blue. Drums are in good to better shape for 30 year old drums. I realize concert toms are not in vogue right now, so here's the second part: What if I add bottom heads, matching the top bearing edges and use all Tama parts from the same line/era? The only problem I see with this is that the lugs are far ther away (than normal) from the batter edge on the concert toms. I had to put a space in there because...

Thoughts on the Tama's?

Feel free to comment on either or both or just tell me I'm an idiot.. Thanks..

I've seen some very nice Imperialstars either not sell at all or go for next to nothing, and add unpopular(right now)concert tom configuration....

Too bad,too because Tama quality was right up there. That would be a LOT of lugs to reconfigure to standard set-up(double headed). And are they clip-mounted?Does the bottom rim clear the stand with a bottom head?I don't think Tama's have reached collectible status yet.Just my opinion.

All of the toms have the "L" rod tom mounts. Around 50 lugs. I agree on Tama's status. I think their quality went down in the late 80's/early 90's, but the early stuff. And Titan hardware is stuff to build houses on....

This is what I was afraid of... Thanks
