I have a late 60`s 16" A, everytime I play it, I can make out the voices of three young men screaming, and I hear one old man laugh !!

Kind of like Rogers drums being taken over by various companies and turned into junk, but still having the tagline, "Since 1849". It's kind of insulting.
It's even worse in the case of Zildjian, knowing that Avedis Zildjian (falsely) claimed to be the sole owner of the ancient family cymbal secret for all those years, and treated K Zildjian so harshly, even though K Zildjian was much more closely tied to the original company, both in manufacturing process and location.
Reminds me of how, for centuries, anyone in the US with even a little Native American blood was terribly discriminated against, and vilely hated. There was nothing worse than being part Native American, and anyone who was part Indian usually tried to hide it. But now that it's accepted, and even cool, to be part Native American, it seems everyone has "a little Cherokee blood" or "my grandma is 1/8 Sioux". Riiiight.
