I have a very good condition mid 70s gretsch kit.

it is black wrap and the snare is cob.

typical sizes 13, 14, 16, and 22.

no extra holes or mods.

what might it be worth?

thanks

There is a sticky directly above the thread you started explaining how to get an accurate valuation. Also, there is a thread about eleven down from yours with a set of 70's Gretsch drums asking the same question. Finally, Ebay seems to be the market value indicator anymore so if you ran a search on there, you would see what they have been selling for.

Spend the time to do a proper search and not only will you put in the leg work for yourself, you may pick up something you didn't know along the way!!! There's a lot of cool stuff on here to read!!

Have a wonderful evening

thanks for the input.

I guess I missunderstood the title of this forum.

I've been researching and have an idea, but I'm not an expert.

I was just looking for other opinions.

thanks

The title of this forum is "Vintage Drum Forum". An excellent place to hang, if I may say so. Do some more research. The info is out there. Trust us. There's some great stuff on this forum and the associated sites. Check out the cats and do some searches through old threads. You will learn so much. Great to have you aboard.

Nick has been around a minute or two and contributed somewhat over the last few months. Not much, but anyway, we need to see it, regardless!

Without pictures it is impossible to determine value.
