what model is this Ludwig drum set. I was told its a 1966. The mount for the tom from the bass drum. Does not look like the 1960s ones. I could be wrong. Kit comes in blue sparkle. And has a bass drum, Floor Tom and rtom. PLease some info would be great

It can either be a super classic with a hollywood mount on it. Or a hollywood set missing the second rack tom, or a late 60's super classic with a single center post mount. I guess I would need to see more pictures.

Worth $400? -not based on that one picture. I have no idea if there are some weird extra holes drilled, etc. I can't see what kind of condition the finish. I can't be sure about that mount. bearing edges....etc.

Assuming most of the things are original and the serial numbers match. I'd say it is worth around $400. I can give a better evaluation if I have the serial numbers, color of inside, extra hole count, and more pictures.

The floor tom is mounted upside down. The bass is set up backwards. The wing tom might actually be mounted right side up...hard to tell. My guess is this person does not understand drums. You most likely will not get good solid answers unless you personally view this kit. For 400, I would either travel or purchase it outright and take the chance. I don't believe you would lose money on the deal. The hoops, lugs, rims, and mounts would net you close to that on ebay. Something to consider.

This set is in albany and like Mcjnic stated this guy really doesn't know drums. Whenever I see a vintage set set up wrong I know I can talk the guy down. I'd go see them for $400.

It's okay trust me there are so many deals on Ludwigs out there. In the last month I've come across ten, but only jumped on one of them.
