I think I like tangerine a little more myself, but that's just me. I think the burgundy sparkle will be beautiful as well. They'll be gorgeous! I can't wait to see the finished product!

Classy color for an equally classy kit Purdie.

Thanks all. I was more than a little nervous about what color she'd pick, but she went right for the classy stuff. I'm happy with the choice. I'll order it from Precision tomorrow and hopefully, I'll be able to wrap the shells in a few days to a week. Please check back in to see how they came out.
Vibes - Your kit came out killer! It's so cool that Jammin Sam is featuring them on their website.

John your wife has great taste! That's a very cool wrap color and very classy looking. Those are going to look sweet when done!! Nice job.
Not a guru just havin fun with some old dusty drums.

Yes, she does have great taste, after all, she chose - me! lol
Just now got off the phone with Andrea over at Precision. The wrap goes out tomorrow and I should have it the next day!
Movin' & groovin' ...
John
Nice~! You'll be done with this one PDQ. Any luck on a floor tom?

Negatory... still looking. But it is what it is, the kit originally came this way (3-piece) so no harm done keeping it that way either. It would just be nice to round out the kit with a period correct floor tom. Not absolutely necessary though.
John
Did you order enough wrap for a floor tom as well?
Very proud owner of a new Blaemire Snare 6.5 x 14 made by Jerry Jenkins "Drumjinx"
Nope.
1. short on expendable cash...
2. I don't have a floor tom or any immediate prospects for one.
3. Still considering flipping the kit. I 'may not' keep this one.
I'm at my three kit limit. Adding a forth is always a tough call for me. I can't justify it. Not many gigs these days and the kits I have are more than I need in terms of drums that get played. I don't like having vintage kits sitting around collecting dust, unused. I'd rather move it on to a young buck who will play and appreciate it.
Just being practical is all... I don't develop many emotional attachments to drums. I have two kits and a couple of snares that I love, the rest come and go. Anybody who knows me, knows how I roll with kits and drums. Aside from just plain loving drums, it's also a money earning avocation for me.
John
I got the snare in! it came in yesterday. it does relieve some of the sting! and also a very nice gesture from you! thank you!
