30's Ludwig streaked opal rare snare drum?? Last viewed: 2 hours ago
What kind person lays a drum down in the road..... ?????? !!!!!!!
Geez......!!!
While the finish is rare, the condition is not. The plating is pretty shot, and the drum is modified, albeit that was done probably when new, it is still modified. In my opinion it isn't worth anywhere near what the current bid is. If it was MINT I would say it would be a lowball price, and probably half of the true value of it, But...it is NOT mint, nice yes, mint no. Thats a $750 drum the way I see it, streaked opal or not. (BTW I personally think thats a pretty ugly finish, no wonder its rare!)
This snare drum is 100% original, it has one of the rarest wraps there are! it comes with original case, snare drum stand and accessories way to cool!, the metal rod is to heat the calf heads by! you still don't display this rare of a drum on the cement????guitar3guitar2D' Drummer

I get all of that and understand what the heater is for, and I agree with you that you don't display it on a concrete driveway....but I still don't think its worth as much as the high bid, originality and all.....It's what we would call players condition if it was from the 60's or 70's......it would have to be MINT condition, never played for me to even bother looking to purchase something like that for that kind of money....sorry, but thats how I see it.
