22" Zildjian Trans Stamp Avedis Vintage Ride LQQK VIDEO Last viewed: 12 hours ago

Late 1950's Zildjian Avedis 22" Ride.

The stamp is the cleanest I have ever seen.

The hand hammering rivals any old K I have ever seen. This 22" Holy Grail ride is special, and talk about investment! This 22" is pure gold, worth every penny and then some. Never polished, remarkable patina.

2554 grams.

$700 SHIPPED CONUS!

That's not a Trans Stamp, it's late 50's. Beautiful looking cymbal though.

Thanks,

Bill

Its better to have people think you're an idiot, than to open your mouth and prove them wrong, unless you doubt yourself then speak away....

I don't have the "cymbal" book but that stamp looks like the one on my A Zildjian 14" Hats.

My cymbals were bought in 1961 with the 58 Gretsch drums I now own (previous owner bought the drums & cymbals new in 1961). But, that does not say the cymbals were made in 1961....they could have been around a while before being sold.

Dang, I was hoping the video would be of somebody actually playing the ride, not just a repeating slide show with some random song put over it. Now I have no idea whether or not I'd be interested in this ride...

Well Caddy... I guess that's one way to ask... = )

There are 3 songs in that video above, 2 songs played with sticks, 1 song played with mallets.

Here is a video taken with a crappy camera with crappy audio... enjoy!

So now we know that its not a trans stamp is discounted a whole $20? There's no way you're ever going to get that much for this cymbal.

You may think that its worth its weight in gold, but that doesn't mean market does. That just a late 1950's A., which is pretty common to find. That might be worth around $200 and maybe a little more than that on a good day.

PRICES OF SOME CYMBALS:

I was told that my 14" A Zildjian hats are worth about 200-250. They're great sounding cymbals = late 50's, maybe 60/61-ish. They sound incredible.

However, the K "old-stamp" 18.5 sizzle ride that came with the very same kit & was bought with the drums in 61 (it may be a mid-late 50's???), is worth around $1,500 and has been appreciating about 15%/yr - so say the cymbal people. In a hundred years it will be worth a lot of dough$$.

It's a nice cymbal but wow what a difference in value from the A Zils. I can only say my A's are fairly common while my K is not that common (the size is absoulutely not common) = the price difference.

And that K isn't worth anywhere near $1500 either. So whoever told you that doesn't have a clue.
