Thank you Gentlemen.
I have recently acquired a 15" tom which is a spot-on SG match and actually has a S/N between the mounted toms and the floor tom. Not that Rogers "grab bag" S/N's are the best clue to a drums production.
All collets have been replaced with the machined versions and other than that and the heads, they are original. I can't even bring myself to re-paint the hoops.
The stickers on the mounted toms are from the Rogers Dealer that sold these drums new in 1975. These were placed on every set sold at his store. I spoke to him a year or so ago, when researching the kit. He was so glad they were still around and in this condition. He loved Rogers Drums. He also loved yellow.
That is the reason he got this kit from the factory. His rep knew he loved yellow.
The grab bag o tags does indeed make dating a rather speculative venture, however, your drum with that tag probably left the factory within days or just a couple weeks of the set. You made a good find there.
