Congratulations!Yes Sir
Stunning looking kit.
I imagine that it sounds as good as it looks.
Wow... That's just great! So sweet you could put it in your coffee...
Thanks guys, they do sound sweet!
Wow...
Sizes?
OH yeah! Way cool!
That is one seriously beautiful kit. If you are interested, I have a kit pretty much the same (only a darker stain) that I've headed with calf. If you are curious about the sound, check 'em out. They are unbelievably nice sounding drums. To be quite honest, I like the lighter maple look over the darker mahogany. Isn't that typical.
Is the grain on the outside going down the drum, not around (or am I going blind)? Is this a custom, a re-finish or just a quirk of fate?
Thanks again guys, the sizes are:
20x14
16x16
13x9
14x 5 1/2
As far as the grain, these drums have never been touched(refinished). They are in original condition. The drums were slightly dry and I took off all the hardware and used some liquid gold on them and it really brought them to life again. These drums sat in storage, in cases, for at least 36 years. They needed minimal work. They look brand new!
mcjnic, since you have a similar kit, do you have any idea of value. I'm curious for insurance reasons. Thanks, Dan
oh 38 years old that makes them 152 in human years. they'll have to
go to the drum old age home now which i just happen to run.
