Finally took pictures! Here's my 1970-71 Modern Solo 2R kit, in original Sparkling Purple Pearl.
14x22, 8x12, 9x13, 16x16 and COB Gene Krupa Sound King snare drum.
It's really 3 sets in one!
Swapping out the stands changes the kit to the New Rock 50N.
Substitute the double Setomatic with a single Setomatic, and using just the 9x13, and it's know a GK 1N kit! I don't mind having the muffler knob facing forward. Kind of reminds me of where the Rogers knob is located.

Stunner, Mark !!!
Love that wrap, and all correct stands to boot !!!
Congrats !!
Yes indeed! Your typical attention to DETAIL Mark! BEAUTIES!, and... the completing factor would be all the period correct hardware! NICE!!!

That sure is pretty. I bet they sound as good as they look.
Lovely looking kit... and yes, great attention with detailing... Reckon I'd be playing that with the 12" as well.. maybe would try the 13 on a snare stand off to your right...
Cheers

As soon as I saw this post, even in the small form of the highlight at the top of the page, I thought that must be one of Mark's kits. Can't miss your stuff Mark with its flawless Southern California front lawn display. Cool color and a nice contrast on the green grass!
Stunning. My favorite drum kit in the whole world.
I have one in Blue Agate, including the COB GKSK.
Usually play my red sparkle Hollywood Ace 'cause the SK is so loud.
I'm using flat base stands right now, so I guess it's a Modern Solo.
