I am looking at a 1969 Supraphonic, 10 lug, 6 1/2 X 14, very small amount of pitting, 1 inch scratch, all parts working, seller is asking 280.00 firm.
Is this a reasonable price? I know it's not a steal or even a deal, but is it way too much right now?

Thanks for the input. I am assuming it is ludalloy since there is minor pitting. Any way to stop it from spreading if I get it? Anyway, I am wanting a player's drum, not a museum piece, but I do like to take care of my gear.
Any questions I should ask about this model? I was told nothing is "missing".
hard to say for sure without seeing it, but if it's as described, then the price is good. It's not "yard sale find" good, but marketwise, yes, it's a good price for an LM402.
Things to look for:
-It should have a keystone badge
-It should have a rotary knob (not a baseball bat) muffler -with the gray round felt.
-It should also have a P-83 throwoff
Hey there, I was hoping you would chime in O-lugs! I am waiting on pics and will post asap. I was told keystone, serial 655284. I am a little worried about pitting in photos. Every photo I have taken of cymbals, etc... for ebay sales has been way more flattering than in person. I wasn't trying to deceive anyone but the photos sometimes don't reveal the "whole picture".

That is a fair price for this snare...not a steal...but a very fair deal. If you are fine with waiting, I saw two pop up on ebay( one for $150 BIT(COB) and the other for $100 BIT) in the last month. So, it really comes down to if you really NEED the snare NOW. That is how I view my collecting...I have passed on many deals, but I know if I wait a little longer a better one will soon come up. Hope this helps a little.
