Hi! So I want a 60's Ludwig kit, but I just can't afford it right now, so I've decided to build in pieces. I found a Ludwig kick date stamped Oct. of 1965 locally for $300. Condition is good other than some yellowing (which I don't care about) and a little paint loss on the hoops. Based on what whole 60s Ludwig kits go for, I think its a pretty good deal but I wanted some feedback first. Thanks!

How is the shell and how are the edges?
The problem I would be concerned with, particularly with WMP, is the ability to match the finish of drums from different sources. The yellowing/mellowing of this wrap varies greatly.
I'm told they are in good condition, but I won't see it in person until Monday. I'll definitely do an inspection. So if the shell and edges are in good condition, does around $300 sound fair? Too much? Thanks for the feedback!

Thankfully for me I'm not hugely concerned with this. This kit will mainly be used in my little studio. I might even end up with a red tom... haha.
Like Michael said, you'll want to inspect the edges and shell soundness (and hoops and everything else for that matter!). A fair price I'd say.
[COLOR="DarkRed"]Not a terrible price. I might say $250 is more in line with current market/economy.
