Hi all, I wondered in this context how many holes a 50s small stamp factory-riveted avedis would have. All 8 ? And where they would be positioned on the cymbal (rather in the middle?). Thanks a bunch.

8 is the most common number for 20" and larger cymbals. 6 is also found. Positioning is most commonly a bit further in during the 1950s (2.5" - 3" in from the edge) than later on (1" in from the edge). But beware, it isn't easy to be sure whether rivet holes are factory or post factory so really we are studying placement style of the times, not factory placement style. And there is lots of variation on the cymbals we see.
